Saturday I was on my way to a pastor´s meeting in Tuxtla Gutierrez, just learning how to get around in the city I was a bit lost. I had stopped at a red light and needed to turn right. I really wasn´t sure about the intersection or the red light, the car behind me blew his horn (something that happen a lot in this city) so I made the turn. Shortly after that as I was going down the road three police cars stopped me. Over the years I´ve learn to be calm having been stop many many time before. The officer came up and ask me for my papers of which I have to explain in detail being the city police don´t understand customs or immigration laws.
After a while he told me that they would have to impound my vehicle. I told him ok, but could he take me to pay the fine. He insisted that he would take my vehicle and I said ok whatever you want to do with me, I did argue or complain I just surrendered. There isn´t much use in that. After a few minutes he gave me back my papers smiled and said I was free to go.
During Sunday worship the Lord spoke to me saying, ”Can you surrender to me and my will like you surrendered to the police.” Yes Lord forgive me for struggling and sometimes arguing when you ask me to do something.
