Judging God

In Exodus 2o we find the ten commandments, one of these is that we should not make graven images. From ancient times until now man has sinned in this area. Even today images are made of wood, stone, gold, silver etc. and are worshipped. These images begin with the imagination of mens thoughts then expressed through their hands to form idols people worship.

I want to write about the images that are formed in our thoughts and hearts. Many people although may not form idols IMAGES with their hands, they do however form images in their minds and hearts of who they think God is.

Some would say Because God is love He could never punish or send to Hell       Haven´t they built a mental image of who they think God is?

But isn´t God also just, right in all His ways? Isn´t He Holy?

Loving was what He did when He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to pay for what we deserved. If we reject this offering isn´t He just and right in His punishment?

We take the place as judges, about how God should acts and how He should  be. How silly to think the clay could judge how the potter should be.

Isa 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

Are not God´s thoughts much higher than our thoughts and His ways much higher than our ways.  God is expressed in the Old Testament and the New Testament and in our hearts as Holy, Father, Son and Spirit. He is not who we imagine in our minds and hearts.

HE IS!

Living GOD!

HE is the Great I AM!
